Born in Quebec City, Canada, Diane Lemieux began a mobile life with her diplomatic parents, continued her global exploration for her own career, and later as an author accompanying her husband on his international career. She has lived in ten countries on four continents and speaks four languages. Diane has a BA in communication, an MA in international development and another in international relations. She worked ten years in international development working for the UN and Canadian NGOs, and over twenty years as a freelance author, journalist and editor. She has published four books and many articles on cultures, the impact of mobility on careers, families and community relations.
Anne Parker was born to British parents in New Zealand and has lived in Hong Kong, Bahrain, Jamaica, Nigeria, the UK and Australia. Now based in Amsterdam, Anne is a qualified learning professional. She has used her wealth of experience to develop training programs for international companies on capabilities such as cultural adaptation, intercultural communication and change management. Currently, she focusses on leadership development and is responsible for designing and delivering global learning initiatives that produce behavioural change and business impact. In 2011, she developed a unique program that took a corporate skills approach using project management, change management and leadership skills. This training program was the basis for many of the concepts in this book.
